Help, I cannot sign in
If you have forgotten your password, click the Sign In link and then click on the link that says "Do you need your password e-mailed to you? Click here." Fill out the e-mail address and the password will be automatically sent to your email address provided when you registered.
Where can I view a record of my past purchases?
You can sign into your account, go to My Home Page and see your purchase history.
How do I update my information?

I forgot my account password, how do I get it?
If you have forgotten your password, click the Log In/Register link and then click on the link that says "I have forgotten my password”. Click here. Fill out the e-mail address, and the password will be automatically sent to your e-mail address provided when you registered..
How do I sign up to receive or unsubscribe to emails?
Sign in to your account, go to My Home Page and click on my account/my details and click the button next the statement, “Yes, send me myembroideries.com newsletters”. Or you can uncheck the button to unsubscribe.
Why do I choose a dealer?
Your local retailer is your first line of support for all your embroidery needs and questions. Visit your local retailer often to see the latest in sewing and embroidery.
How do I change my dealer?
Sign in to your myembroideries.com account and update your profile.
Can I set a preferred format?
Yes, when you register as a new customer you can choose a preferred format of your choice so that it is always pre-selected when you buy a design. You can also choose your preferred format before placing an embroidery design in the shopping cart. Simply choose the preferred format in the scroll down list and click “set as my default format”.
If you have already registered and want to add a preferred format, sign in to your account, go to My Home Page and click on my details/my account and choose your preferred format.
Technical Questions
Internet Explorer freezes when downloading my design, what do I do?
If your computer freezes during the downloading process, it could be because you selected the Open option instead of the Save option in the File Download window. (Always Choose Save) When you select Open, your system will try to open the file using the program that it thinks is the one meant for the file being downloaded. You must have embroidery software to be able to see the designs or send them to your machine.
I cannot find the design on my computer.
When you download an embroidery file, make sure you save it in a folder that you can easily find at a later time. If you are unable to locate the design, go to your File Search function and type in the name of the design and search the various components of your computer such as My Documents, Desktop or additional drives. Then click search.
My design will not download to my computer.
If you want to open designs on your computer, then you willl need to have embroidery software installed on your computer. Please keep in mind that you might not need embroidery software. If you have a machine that takes floppy disks, CDs, USB sticks, direct transfers or connection from your computer, and if the format that you downloaded is the one that your machine uses, then you can simply download the design using the appropriate media and transfer it to the machine.
Design Questions
What is machine embroidery?
Machine embroidery is the use of a sewing and embroidery machine or embroidery only machine to machine stitch beautiful, professional designs onto your projects.
Can I resize my design?
The 4D Design Enhancer is a software module that allows you to split big designs to fit into small hoops and help organize multiple hoopings.
In the software modules 4D Embroidery Professional or 4D creative Suite and in 4D Embroidery Extra, the feature to resize any design with density control is included. Please check with you local Husqvarna Viking and/or Pfaff retailer about this new innovative software. There are also embroidery machines that have built-in embroidery machine software that include the resize feature with density control, like the Husqvarna Viking Designer SE.
My design does not fit in my hoop, can I return the design?
Any purchases made on myembroideries.com are final. Please make sure that you check the dimensions of your embroidery field with the dimensions of the embroidery design prior to purchase.
Do you guarantee your designs?
Yes, all of the designs found on myembroideries.com are guaranteed. Every design has been stitched out for quality approval. If you are not satisfied with the stitched out embroidery, please see the Education section for tips and hints on how to get the best results with your embroidery or contact your local dealer for further assistance.
Which format does my machine use?
If you are unsure as to which format to order, you can do two things: check your owner’s manual or call your local sewing machine dealer. Below is a list of formats, and the machines that read the formats. If you do not find your machine listed below, please email us and we will work to update our listing.
DST format: Tajima, Barudan, Toyota, Innovis, Brother ULT, PR-600
XXX format: Singer
EXP format: Stellar, Melco, some Singer
HUS format: Husqvarna Viking machines (excluding the Designer 1)
PCS format: Pfaff machines
VIP format: Pfaff and Husqvarna Viking machines (excluding the Designer 1)
PES format: Brother, Babylock, Deco, Singer
SEW format: New Home, Janome series 9500 and lower, Elna, Kenmore
JEF format: Janome 10000, 10001, and 300E
ART format: Bernina Artista, Deco
VP3 format: Pfaff and Husqvarna Viking
I own a Singer Embroidery Machine. What design format should I download?
Singer futura 150, 250 and 350: We suggest the VIP format because the recommended thread colors will be the closest to the original thread colors in the design. Singer futura owners can also select the thread brand in the embroidery software to have the correct thread color numbers when printing a design template.
Other Singer Embroidery Machines: We suggest downloading the HUS format. The maximum number of colors is 29 however the recommended colors will be close to the original.
Oops, I ordered the wrong format for my machine.
If you have ordered the incorrect format, please contact Customer Service.
Why does the embroidery file color not match the online picture?
We can not guarantee that your software will reflect the thread colors that we used to sew the designs. Each machine format has a certain amount of colors in its palette. Remember: You can ignore the colors that you see on your display screen. Just follow the color change information that comes with the design.
Why don’t outlines match up?
You may need to change stabilizer and make sure the hoop is tightened. Certain stabilizers are better for some fabrics and designs. Please see the Education section for a complete overview of stabilizers.
There are other hints to ensure beautiful embroidery such as using the proper thread, most embroidery designs are best sewn in 40 wt. rayon thread. Also, a light weight embroidery thread or fine lingerie thread should be used in your bobbin. Check your sewing machine needle. Sewing machine needles should be changed often, at least every six to eight projects. Even the slightest burr on the needle could affect your stitching. If after trying these tips, the problem still exists, please contact your local dealer for support.
How do I know the color sequence of my design?
You can follow the color change information that comes with your design. There is optional software available that can assist you in sorting the colors of your designs. Check with your local Husqvarna Viking, Pfaff or Singer retailer for more information.
How do I comment on a design?
Talk to your local dealer or send feedback on either a design or the website in general by contacting Customer Service. You can find your nearest contact under the Contact Us section.
Why is my format not listed?
Sometimes a design cannot be converted or saved in a particular format. This can happen if the design has a high number of stitches, a large number of color changes, is large in size, or a combination of these factors.
Do my designs come on a card or CD?
Designs purchased on myembroideries.com are available for purchase online, only. Select designs may also be available on a multi-format collection CD. Check with your local retailer for details.
What needle should I use?
We recommend that you use a size 80/12 embroidery needle for the best result with 40 weight embroidery thread. Please see the Education section for a complete overview of needles.
What type of stabilizer should I use?
We recommend that you use a tear away stabilizer to stitch out your embroideries. For all free standing embroideries, lace, cutwork and pop up embroideries, we recommend that you use a heavy weight water soluble stabilizer. Please see the Education section for a complete overview of stabilizers.
What type of thread should I use?
All our designs have been stitched out and quality checked using a 40wt rayon embroidery thread, and lightweight or fine bobbin thread, unless otherwise specified in the instructions for the design. Please see the Education section for a complete overview of threads.
Why won’t my design file open?
If you want to open designs on your computer, then you need embroidery software installed on your computer. Please keep in mind that you might not need embroidery software. If you have a machine that takes floppy disks, CDs, USB sticks, direct transfers or connection from your computer, and if the format that you downloaded is the one that your machine uses, then you can simply download the design using the appropriate media and transfer it your embroidery machine.
Why doesn’t my design show up in my machine?
The embroidery design that you purchased may not be in the correct format for your machine or it may be too large.
My machine only takes cards; can I still use these designs?
If your machine uses cards, then you will need to transfer the design onto the machine’s appropriate media using a reader-writer box. There are many forms of reader-writers that can write a downloaded design to an embroidery card. The instructions for writing a card vary from box to box, but essentially you put a blank embroidery card for your machine’s format in the slot and tell the box to write to a card. Check with your retailer to see if he or she has a recommendation.

What is the copyright policy?
All designs on myembroideries.com are copyrighted by VSM Group AB. Designs may not be distributed nor copied electronically in any format or by any method, either altered or unaltered, without the express written permission of VSM Group AB. Infringing upon an owner’s copyright is prosecutable under federal and state/provincial laws.
Can I share my designs with my friends?
Designs purchased at myembroideries.com are for non-commercial use by the purchaser only and should not be shared under any circumstances. It is illegal to share designs.
Can I sell items that feature designs I have purchased from myembroideries.com?
Yes, you may sell items that have embroidery designs on them as long as you are the original owner of the design. In other words, if you purchased the design from myembroideries.com, you can sell items featuring that design.
What if the FAQs do not answer my questions about copyright?
There are several web sites which may answer any additional questions regarding copyright laws and embroidery designs. How do I search for designs?
You can search for embroidery designs in many ways. Try the way that works best for you. First, you can input a key word describing your desired design in the Search box or you can search for your desired design in a specific category. Second, you can search by the categories listed on the left hand side menu. You can also choose to see all designs and browse through the entire library.
How do I place an Order?
After you have found the embroidery designs you wish to purchase, just click Add to Cart. Then you will be able to create an account if you do not have one already, or sign in to your existing account to complete your order or to continue shopping.
Can I order any other way besides on-line, fax, mail?
You may only purchase embroidery designs on-line with one of our payment options. Or, you can visit your local Husqvarna Viking, Pfaff or Singer retailer and order designs on-line at the retailer’s store. However, the payment options remain the same.

Can I save items in my cart to purchase later?
Yes, once you sign in to your account, you will be able to see what is in your shopping cart to be purchased. You may add or remove items and then proceed to check out.
The designs you purchase will remain active in your basket for 30 days from your date of purchase. This is to ensure that the design downloaded properly, stitches out to your expectations and you are totally satisfied with your on-line purchase. After one month, the designs in your cart will be deleted by myembroideries.com.
You can also choose to save your designs in the My Favorites section for purchase at a later time.
How does the shopping cart work?
When you visit myembroideries.com, you create an account which will allow you to add embroideries to your shopping cart. As you browse designs, you can click on a design, choose the file format of your choice and then click Add to Cart. Then the design will remain in your shopping cart until you complete your purchase or remove it. The designs you purchase will remain active in your cart for 30 days from your date of purchase. This is to ensure the design downloaded properly, stitches out to your expectations and you are totally satisfied with your on-line purchase. After one month, the designs in your cart will be deleted by myembroideries.com.
Do you have a return policy?
All sales on myembroideries.com are final.
Can I get my designs sent to me on CD?
The embroidery designs purchased on myembroideries.com are only available to be downloaded. CDs are not currently available. Visit your local Husqvarna Viking, Pfaff, or Singer dealer store to purchase online and the dealer will put your designs on CD for you to take home.
Do you sell any other products besides embroidery designs on-line?
Currently, myembroideries.com only sells embroidery design files. Please visit us often to see what is new
How long will my purchased designs stay in my account?
Embroidery designs purchased at myembroideries.com will remain in your account for 30 days from the date of purchase. After 30 days, you will no longer have access to download them.
Will I be charged if I download a design more than once?
Your purchased designs will be available in your account for 30 days from the date of purchase. At the end of the 30 days, designs will be deleted from your myembroideries.com cart. After the 30 day period, designs will need to be purchased again in order to download them.
When would I not be able to get my designs immediately?
Your embroidery designs will be available to you as soon as your Visa or Master Card payment goes through. If you are having difficulties, please contact customer service.
How do I receive my designs?
Once you purchase your embroidery design(s) or collection(s), you will be able to download the design files in the format you selected right to your computer, your USB stick or wherever you designate.
Can I purchase from any of the brands, even if I do not own that machine?
You may purchase any design on myembroideries.com that you like in the format of your choice.
What currency are your prices in?
All our prices are currently in US Dollars. If you would like to convert the currency from US Dollars to another currency here is a link to a site that allows you to convert the prices easily. http://www.xe.com/ucc/
My credit card was declined and I know there is enough money in my account.
This happens occasionally and does not reflect your "credit status". It is sometimes a problem with a bank which has safety restrictions in place regarding on-line transactions. In our experience, the owner of the card is not aware of this until it happens. Contact your credit card provider. A phone call usually fixes the issue.
Will I get confirmation of my order?
Yes, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address that you provided after each purchase
Can I buy full collections?
Yes, you can buy a complete collection. Complete collections are the best value. Tick the box “collections” at the left hand column and only complete collections will be returned in the search.
Can I mix and match to create my own collection?
You can mix and match any design on myembroideries.com and the more you buy, the less you pay per design. Almost every design is also part of a collection that you can buy and this has even more value compared to buying the designs separately.
How do I make a payment?
When you have finished adding designs to your shopping cart, just click Checkout and fill in the required information and click next. You will receive a confirmation message when your order has completed its process.
Is my information secure?
Yes, your personal information you enter when you set up your account cannot be viewed without your Username and Password.
